If you use a separate shop with WooCommerce (for WordPress), your web shop customers can deduct incert vouchers themselves during the ordering process. The voucher is then verified in incert and automatically invalidated in the background. Additionally, a standardized incert voucher can (optionally) be sold via the WooCommerce shop.
If you are interested in such an interface, we look forward to hearing from you at beratung@incert.at. We provide the WooCommerce plugin free of charge, but offer an hourly package for support.
Redemption Process
- During the order process, the customer can enter a voucher code in the shopping cart by clicking on "Add Voucher / Gutschein hinzufügen"
- The validity and coverage of the voucher are checked by WooCommerce in incert.
- The WooCommerce store displays the voucher as a discount deduction from the total price. Optionally, additional vouchers can be deducted from the same order, or vouchers can be removed again.
- Once the order is placed, the voucher is invalidated by WooCommerce in incert.
Example of redemption
What to consider when redeeming
- Multiple vouchers can be redeemed per order.
- There is no mapping of to services/items (the voucher is a means of payment).
- Partial redemption is possible. The remaining value remains on the incert voucher and can be used for future redemption. Package vouchers could also be set to not allow partial redemption.
- Vouchers without value (if complimentary vouchers are issued without value) cannot be redeemed.
- Vouchers imported into the incert system (from a previously used voucher system) can be redeemed - however, redemption can also be prevented by incert if they were issued with a trivial (e.g., sequential) code.
- Whether expired vouchers (beyond their validity date) or vouchers which have not yet been paid can be redeemed by the customer can be defined in incert.
- For portal/group systems, a statistical assignment of redemption to a business within the portal is possible. A connected WooCommerce shop is mapped to a login/business in incert.
- In case an order which was paid with a voucher is canceled, the voucher redemption is also automatically canceled via the interface.
- The transfer of the order, including the voucher redemption, from WooCommerce to other third-party systems is beyond our control.
Sales Process
- In your WooCommerce store, the customer can add the item you have created to the shopping cart and purchase it via the normal WooCommerce checkout.
- Invoicing is handled via the WooCommerce shop.
- The WooCommerce shop reports the order and successful payment to incert via the interface.
- The incert system sends the voucher to the customer via email. In any case, this only occurs after confirmation of payment completion and can therefore take up to several hours after the order is completed.
What to consider when selling
- There is no individual/free value selection for the customer in WooCommerce. The vouchers are each created in WooCommerce at a defined price. However, you can create as many vouchers as you want in WooCommerce.
- Only value vouchers can be sold.
- There is no personalization option for the buyer in WooCommerce. A defined dedication is printed, which cannot be changed by the customer.
