TravelClick: Voucher redemption during booking

The following content was translated using AI and reviewed by our team. Please note that some images are still being updated.

Your guests can redeem vouchers directly during the booking process in TravelClick’s iHotelier booking engine. The voucher is validated in incert and automatically redeemed in the background.

If you're interested in this interface, feel free to contact us at sales@incert.at. The interface must also be commissioned through TravelClick.

Process

  1. During the booking process in TravelClick, guests can enter their voucher code in the “Voucher” or “Voucher/Card Code” field.
  2. TravelClick displays the voucher amount as a deduction from the total reservation price.
  3. Once the booking is completed, the voucher is automatically redeemed in incert via TravelClick.
  4. The booking is then transferred from TravelClick to the PMS.

Please note that incert only has visibility into the connection and process between incert and TravelClick. Any further processing or transmission to third-party systems (especially the PMS) is beyond our control. We recommend contacting TravelClick to confirm how the voucher redemption is processed and displayed in your PMS.

  5. A "Transaction ID" is displayed with the booking in TravelClick. This Transaction ID can also be shown in the incert article list as a searchable and filterable column.

Please note that we cannot provide support for actions performed in third-party systems. This description has been prepared to the best of our knowledge. In case of questions, please contact the system provider directly.

Important Notes

  • Only one voucher can be redeemed per booking.
  • No mapping to services or articles is performed.
  • TravelClick only supports the redemption of value vouchers. If other article types (e.g., package vouchers or imported vouchers) are used in incert as multi-purpose value vouchers, they can be passed to TravelClick as generic value vouchers.
  • Partial redemptions are possible. The remaining balance stays on the voucher and can be used for future redemptions.
  • Vouchers without value (e.g., sponsorship vouchers) cannot be redeemed.
  • Imported legacy vouchers can be redeemed, unless blocked by incert (e.g., due to sequential codes or invalid value voucher classification).
  • Whether expired or unpaid vouchers can be redeemed is configurable in incert.
  • In portal systems, different "Booking Partner IDs" can be used for different TravelClick properties. This allows redemptions to be statistically assigned to specific hotels that share an incert system.
  • Canceling a booking in TravelClick does not automatically reverse the voucher redemption. However, the Transaction ID associated with the redemption is visible in the booking and can be used in incert to locate and reverse the redemption manually.
  • The forwarding of bookings and voucher redemptions to other third-party systems (especially the PMS) is beyond incert’s scope.
