Service options (or "additional services") are required whenever a voucher is not sold at a fixed price, but the buyer can choose from different options. Examples include selecting the number of persons, choosing a room type, or selecting from various spa services. Service options are created once in the system and can then be activated for any voucher. The price is therefore defined in the voucher in which the service option is used. 

Possible implementations

A service option can display one of the following selection types:

Selection group (selection button / "radio button")	Used to display a group of options from which exactly one element must always be selected.
Multiple selection (checkbox)	Used to display a group of elements that can be selected or deselected flexibly.
Quantity selection (numeric input field)	Used to display one or more elements for which a quantity can be entered.

Creating options & option values

The menu item "Service options" contains several tabs. Here you can create options and option values:

1. The option defines the selection and must always be created first. In the example below, "Room selection" or "Bookable service" is an option. For the option, the type of selection is defined and a title for the group is specified.
2. Afterwards, the individual option values are created. These are the individual elements that the customer can choose from. In the example below, these could be the different room types or selectable services. A title (and optionally a description as additional information) can be entered.

It is also possible to create dependencies between selection options. For example, based on the number of persons selected, different rooms (double vs. single room) can be displayed. Such combinations can be configured via the tab "Category". Our service team will be happy to assist you and can also prepare this completely for you on request (service@incert.at).

Price entry and use for an item

The service options have now been prepared and can be activated for items:

1. Go to the menu item Items & categories
2. Select the desired item
3. Open the tab Additional services
4. Activate the option values there and enter a price and a display order
5. Click save
6. Be sure to check the result in the shop. Select the new option values and add the product to the shopping cart.

Please note when maintaining prices: Depending on the configuration, the price of the voucher is composed of service options and the item price. Here we explain price maintenance in detail.
